Deacon Antonios the Shenoudian Biography
Deacon Antonios the Shenoudian is an ordained deacon who serves in the Coptic Monastery of Saint Shenouda, Rochester, NY. Prior to his consecration, he was a medical doctor who specialized in Hematology/Oncology. In 2006, he entered the Coptic Monastery of Saint Shenouda with the blessing of H.H. Pope Shenouda III. In 2009, he was ordained a deacon by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III.
He completed his initial theological studies at St. Athanasius Theological Seminary in San Antonio, TX, in 2011. In 2014 he graduated from Union Theological Seminary in New York with a Master of Sacred Theology degree. In 2022, he completed his PhD in Theology at Fordham University.
He continues to teach in educational conventions held at the Coptic Monastery of Saint Shenouda as well as in our Coptic Orthodox seminaries in North America. He is also a member in the Catholic Church – Oriental Orthodox Churches International Joint Commission for Theological Dialogue since 2022.
